Duties and
Responsibilities
Provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction
Work creatively with management to increase productivity and profitability
Perform PM Services, tractor, trailer repairs and maintenance
Perform and document vehicle safety inspections accurately
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identity worn and damaged parts
Remove, repair, adjust, overhaul, assemble, disassemble, and replace major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems such as power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics
Create accurate estimates on customer vehicles
Communicate well with customers and management to relay the needed repairs and value of such repairs
Operate company vehicles safely, abiding by company policies, as well as federal and state laws
Make roadside repairs
Maintain a safe and clean workspace

Qualifications and Skills for a Diesel Mechanic
High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree is a plus
Prior diesel mechanic experience preferred, must own mechanical tools
Valid drivers license with ability pass DOT medical card requirement.
Ability to lift 125lbs
Positive, customer service attitude
Basic math skills to calculate accurate repair estimates
Solid understanding of the truck service industry
