Following appropriate State Division of Human Resources and/or South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) policies and procedures, receives, processes, and enters SCDE personnel actions into the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Ensures requested actions include all pertinent documents and signatures prior to processing and completes processing accurately and timely. Files documentation within specified time frame. Maintains and updates employee data as required. Keys corrections or revisions, in accordance to scheduled time frames, to employee data in response to information provided by the employee into SCEIS. Ensures accuracy of data entered and filing of documents within specified time. Coordinates scheduling of pre-employment drug screenings by communicating with Bus Shop staff. Processes results of pre-employment drug screen following established processes. Places copies of test results with employee documentation for filing. Processes employment physicals for Transportation employees. Receives results for review to determine if medical standards are met. Notifies supervisor and Bus Shop of examination results that do not meet the required standards. Files copies of medical examination with employee documentation. Enters job announcements into the NEOGOV (E-recruitment) system to ensure vacancies are advertised consistently and accurately. Distributes applications to hiring offices. Ensures that job announcements are posted, and applications are distributed within prescribed time frame. Completes necessary steps in a timely manner to ensure that positions are properly closed out for annual reporting. Assists and coordinates HR functions and projects including random Drug Screens, United Way, and Service/Retirement awards. Serves as a contact/liaison communicating office procedures and information to staff. Assists with answering Office of Human Resources main telephone line. Routes calls and responds to inquiries received over the phone. Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is located in the Office of Human Resources.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in SC State Government Human Resources.
