Overview
Director Operations is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our core operations systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our integration needs and operations teams. In addition, the position will participate in corporate IT planning and implementation activities.
Responsibilities
• AS400 Administration
• Unix/AIX Administration
• IBM Tivoli (TSM) Administration
• Tape Drive and System Management
• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance
• Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Researches and implements technological strategic solutions
• Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
• Assist with Vendor Management and Vendor On Boarding
• Manage Vendor agreements and renewals
• Manage Legal Contract Intake
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with business partners
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures for operations
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related experience.
• Minimum of 20-25 years IT experience with a minimum of 10 years Management experience.
•Experience in below specific areas are essential to the position
o Proven working experience as an Director or relevant experience
o Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
o Extensive experience in developing strategic operation architecture plans
o Working knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
o Expertise in data center management and data governance
