The Job
Develops and implements programs and initiatives meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term goals and objectives.
As the Chief Strategy Officer for our SCAN Health Plan, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. You will lead our strategic planning efforts for the areas under the President of Medicare, identify growth opportunities, and develop products and services that meet the evolving needs of our members. Reporting directly to the President of Medicare, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the company’s success.
You Will
Evaluate the organization’s performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape in order to identify new growth opportunities.
Estimate business impact of strategic initiatives and prepares reports and recommendations for executive leadership teams.
Develop plans for leveraging organizational resources in order to capitalize on growth opportunities and tracks performance.
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for SCAN Health Plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and trend research to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Provide strategic guidance to the executive team and board of directors to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to anticipate potential impact on the business.
Lead market entry strategies, including market research, entry planning, and execution.
Oversee the development and enhancement of healthcare products and services tailored to the needs of Medicare beneficiaries.
Develops strategic plans that are meant to grow online sales of the organization’s products.
Analyzes data evaluating the performance of sales channels or partners; identifies underserved or underperforming market segments and develops strategies for integration or optimization.
Oversees development of tailored strategies that reflect the needs of specific business units, product lines, or categories.
Leads, tracks, and prioritizes all Sales projects across the organization.
Researches emerging digital trends, assesses potential impact on the organization, and aligns decisions with overall strategy.
Drive innovation in healthcare delivery, focusing on improving member outcomes and satisfaction.
Ensure sustainability of operations and outcomes should strategic initiatives transition to business operations.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
Provide regular reports and updates to the President of Medicare and board on the progress of strategic goals and initiatives.
Use data and analytics to guide decision-making and adjust strategies as needed.
Work with our corporate strategy team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Demonstrates the SCAN organizational values in performing all responsibilities and in all interactions with stakeholders. Ensures accountability at all levels of responsible operations.

Your Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, related graduate degree, or equivalent work experience required.
10+ years with executive level experience with a progressive, consumer-oriented business. Preference will be given to those with previous experience and expertise as an executive in operations of an HMO or closely related managed health care business, in Medicare, in health care and/or services for seniors.
Demonstrated capability of strategic thinking and planning for short- and long-range goals; strong analytical and management skills required.
Demonstrated expertise in executive level management and leadership.
Strong understanding of systems in a managed care setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal skills, communication skills, presentation skills and commitment to detail.
Ability to effectively meet with and present information to Board, clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
Moderate out of town travel, as needed.
