Personal Care company is seeking a Sales Account. The Sales Account Executive role will lead the selling process to develop new wholesale accounts for the entire brand portfolio of daily essentials, with a focus on and passion for personal and skin care. The ideal candidate must be skilled at opening new accounts and excels at account management and has a broad network in beauty retail accounts, ecommerce retailers and/or luxury boutique specialty sector to leverage for strategy partnerships and key accounts. This role reports into the Co-Founder , COO , and Sales Director.
What you’ll do:
· Drive business expansion through new relationships with premium specialty stores, independents, and large retailers, both online and offline, especially Sephora and Ulta
· Leverage your contacts to drive incremental distribution and sales
· Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals as set by management
· Prospect new opportunities in specific market segments that align with the brand vision and direction
· Promote and supervise marketing coop activities (launch events, product knowledge sessions, sampling)
· Propose and execute on opportunities for collaborations or exclusive products for key retailers
· Ensure budgets/targets agreed by clients are met or exceeded
· Act as a merchandising and product consultant for clients, ensuring each retailer is set up for maximum success with the right products for their business and related content and training
· Partner with Operations and Production on quarterly forecasts and inventory planning
· Work closely with Sales Director for account profiling, business review, sales forecasts, budget
· Own all market meetings and presentations with retailers and distributors
· Working closely with Operations and Finance, set up customer accounts, payment terms and logistic requirements
· Address any customer issues, partnering with the correct function: product development/packaging, marketing, finance, operations
Who you are:
· Sales expert with a strong bias for action, entrepreneurial spirit and distinctive problem-solving skills
· Have 8+ years of full-time experience as an Account Executive in the beauty or personal care opening new accounts and calling on major accounts such as Sephora and Ulta
· Experience working with a variety of accounts, large and small and experience developing new accounts across many industries from beauty retail, ecommerce, travel, luxury, home, and hospitality.
· Have sold to department store and specialty retailer headquarter accounts both online and bricks and mortar
· Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate cross functionally with all levels of the organization
· Demonstrates ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and successfully
· Possesses strong project management skills: one who thinks ahead and anticipates needs—you’re never satisfied with the status quo, always thinking, “How can we do this better?”
· Hard working doer with a “no task is too small” attitude
· Naturally builds relationships with internal teams and clients
· Comfortable working independently, but also knows when to ask for help
· Enjoy working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
· A passionate ambassador of the brand and has experience in natural based and sustainability focused consumer goods
