* Saint Therese offers a continuum of care and services available in a person’s own home or in one of our four Twin Cities communities:
New Hope, Brooklyn Park, Shoreview, and Woodbury.
Rooted in history, Saint Therese of New Hope is our largest community. This care center has 168 skilled nursing beds for long-term and transitional care. In addition, the Residence at Saint Therese of New Hope houses 225 independent apartments and suites for assisted living and memory care.
* Responsibilities
* The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facility is in compliance with government regulations. Demonstrates on-going assessments of resident’s general condition and plan of care utilizing the nursing process. Manages and directs the facility staff to provide quality care, continuity of care and person-focused care. This position will supervise the nursing assistants, staff nurses, and volunteers.
* Education:
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Minnesota Board of Nursing. BSN preferred.
* Experience:
* Minimum 5 years nursing experience; 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
* Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* * Demonstrated working knowledge of nursing department functions with special emphasis on compliance with Federal and State Regulations
* Knowledge of the scope of the Minnesota Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act
* Demonstrated ability to participate in and collaborate with interdisciplinary team
* Demonstrated leadership abilities
* Effective time management/prioritization and critical thinking skills
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication and presentation skills
* Basic knowledge of computers and related software and particular familiarity with databases
