Job Summary: The Manager, Talent Acquisition manages and organizes system-wide talent acquisition activities using a data-driven focus to attract top talent. Sets priorities to make process improvements which align with ongoing strategic talent acquisition initiatives. This role collaborates with leadership to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective candidates that support the health system’s growing workforce.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or closely related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.
Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leading and managing a Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition team. Healthcare/service industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptional knowledge and thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices. Working knowledge of federal and state laws pursuant to employment practices. Effective knowledge of interviewing, selection techniques, and practices. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Superior written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, counseling, and leadership skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to be detailed oriented and to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides subject matter expertise and support of the design, development, and implementation of talent acquisition functions. Builds relationships and partners with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and talent acquisition strategies resulting in internal and external customer satisfaction. Recommends, develops, and documents improvement processes for best practices and technologies used to maximize the talent acquisition experience. Manages the complete lifecycle of the recruitment process including but not limited to job postings, sourcing, prescreening, employment offers, and onboarding tasks. Ensures the hiring process is completed within defined metrics to minimize days-to-fill and overall time-to-start. Defines roles and responsibilities of talent acquisition team to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire. Develops and implements innovative sourcing and marketing strategies to create a pipeline of qualified candidates.
Decision Making: Independent judgement in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.
Working Relationships: Direct Supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works with internal/external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at director level or above.
