Rochester General Hospital is a 528-bed tertiary care hospital that has been serving the residents of the Rochester Region and beyond since 1847. Rochester General Hospital offers primary medical care and a broad range of specialties. Rochester General Hospital’s medical staff includes over 1,000 primary care physicians and specialists, many of whom have offices at the hospital and throughout the community.
OUR Unit
The Operating Room (OR) at Rochester General Hospital offers elective and emergency surgeries for adults and pediatric patients including a variety of service specific specialties. We have 23 Operating Rooms with 90 procedures daily. Types of Surgical procedures and teams performed include: General Surgery, Urology, Bariatric, Ambulatory, Robotic Surgery, Gynecological, Neurology, Vascular, Orthopedic, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Reconstructive, Cosmetic Surgery, Oral Surgery, Podiatric Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery.

ATTRIBUTES
Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Registered Nurse license in New York State.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
1+ years of critical care RN experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process
EDUCATION AS: Nursing (Required)
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS RN – Registered Nurse – New York State Education Department (NYSED); BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (AHA)
