Responsibilities
Deliver transportation productivity agenda by focusing on asset optimization, improving fuel economy, payload efficiency, route optimization & wait time reduction
Deliver transportation service targets, shipping and delivering loads on time
Interview and hire Frontline Drivers
Assume ownership of all transport related cost and productivity targets; provide forecasts and analysis related to transportation cost center
Coach safe and efficient driving techniques; ensuring safety, regulatory and DOT compliance
Develop effective relationships with internal business partners (i.e. sales, logistics, plant, satellite warehouse, etc.)
Assist in the development of transformational projects that provide for continuous improvement across transportation
Drive successful preparation and execution of finished goods transportation from assigned facilities (Sales Orders, Stock Transfer Orders)
Manage/monitor critical shipments in support of key NAN product innovation and promotional launches
Leverage PepsiCo Supply Chain systems (i.e. SAP, TMS, LDD, Tableau) to actively monitor key Transportation metrics and scorecards
Leverage Problematic Lane Analysis to hold all carrier accountable to their awarded commitments
Engage key stakeholders (i.e. NAN Transportation Coordinators, PepsiCo Network Coordinators, carriers, copack sites) to drive performance improvement
Assist in the development and execution of cost saving initiates within the region, assist in the review of carriers and lane performance
Resolve exception shipment activity (i.e. unrouteables, late deliveries, trailer seal discrepancies, customer delivery refusals, freeze protection requirements)
Coordinate with CASS, carriers, and the South/Southeast Region Transportation team members as needed to research and resolve freight payment issues
Collaborate with NAN Transportation team members to drive synergies across network and consistency of approach and SOPs
Manage annual freeze protection roll out and seasonal support
Support payload reporting and initiatives to help drive improvement
Compensation & Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $67,000 – $80,000 based on a full-time schedule
Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
2-3 years of previous transportation related supply chain function experience
Ability to effectively interact and build a favorable business relationship with all business partners to drive tangible results
Ability to analyze and simplify data to communicate effectively and utilize it to influence others indirectly
Experience working in Microsoft Excel developing reporting of any kind (experience with Tableau a plus)
Strong team player and committed to teamwork in all situations
Ability to operate and flourish in a fast-paced business
