Northwestern Oklahoma State University Looking for Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Education—Division of Education at Alva, OK Full Time

Position Available

Nine-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education. Salary, based on
qualifications and experience, is determined by the vice president for academic affairs and university president and approved by the
Regional University System of Oklahoma (RUSO).

General Information

Northwestern Oklahoma State University is
a multi-campus, state-assisted, comprehensive regional institution in the Oklahoma System of Higher Education and is accredited by the
Higher Learning Commission. The student population is approximately 2,000 students. With the main campus located in Alva and additional
campus locations in Woodward and Enid, Oklahoma, the university is a center of activity for the region.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include coordinating programs in leadership at the master’s level as well as maintaining a
visible and active presence on the Enid campus and within the community, teaching graduate and undergraduate content, advising, and
supervising internships; serving on various administrative, faculty, and standing committees as assigned; and assisting in program reviews
for accreditation. Scholarly activity and public-school service are required. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Earned doctorate is preferred, master’s degree is required. Masters-prepared faculty are
appointed at the rank of instructor; terminal degree required for appointment at rank of assistant professor on tenure track.

Public
school teaching experience and administrative experience in PK-12 setting are required. Superintendent experience preferred.
