About the Opportunity
Working closely with the Assistant Dean of Administration and Finance, the Manager of Human Resources Administration provides strategic oversight in several areas including talent acquisition/recruitment, hiring/employment processing, training, visa processing, records management, onboarding/ off-boarding, policy implementation, performance management, and process improvement for the College of Engineering. The Managerwilltrain and supervise a team of HR Associates who serve as subject matter experts for the colleges staff and faculty. They will support the colleges complex portfolio, advise senior leadership on key HR related areas and act as the primary liaison with university Human Resources.
The Manager of Human Resource Administrationwill partner with key stakeholder throughout the college and university to develop and implement process improvement and standardization projects to ensure consistency, transparency, and optimization of all college HR operations. They will regularly audit employee data and produce analytical reports/trends to college leadership and HRBP to support HR planning activities. They will lead cross division collaborations to ensure HR processes are clearly outlined and efficient to support the colleges growing portfolio and interdisciplinary assignments.
The Manager will partner with the Associate Director of Faculty and Staff Affairs to develop, implement, and maintain the college’s staff development initiatives and priorities. They will oversee the annual performance management process including communications, training, and aggregating employee evaluations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of HR programs, processes, and policies required
Bachelor’s degree (Masters Preferred)with at least 5 years of experience in HR/payroll operations, transactions and hire processing
Effective leadership, interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills
Strong understanding of technology and systems, preferably Workday, Banner, and talent management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, primary Excel, Work and PowerPoint.
Ability to plan, organize and delegate work to meet deadlines
Understanding of project management and business analysis practices
Previous management experience preferred
