We have invested a lot of time in determining who our target customer is, how we can engage with them and what success will look like. To support the execution of our ongoing marketing strategy, we are introducing the role of Content Creator to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns for the business, helping to exceed North Star’s targets in both our roastery and coffee shops. Crucially, doing so in a manner that sees us innovating and contributing to our industry to cement our position as leader, not follower.
We are determined to realise the ‘star status’ we know we have and we see this role as being instrumental in helping us get there.
Job Brief
We are looking for a creative coffee lover, someone who is tuned into the industry and the space North Star takes up in it, who understands how we can set ourselves apart from the competition. You will be someone who understands our brand aesthetic and who enjoys coming up with ideas and content that are new and engaging. Creating content (photography, reels, print, videos and digital assets/editing) comes naturally to you.
You will be responsible for creating, managing and distributing all content for all aspects of the North Star brand capturing everything from sourcing, roasting and brewing (in our own retail sites and also accounting for our wholesale customer network). You will work closely with every department in our business, developing and executing content campaigns that align with the goals of the wider business, engaging our target audience and strengthening our brand identity. You will be responsible for customer interaction on all digital channels, creating community in the comments/DMs and jumping on any opportunity to capture/convert/nurture/engage and retain new and existing customers. You will also monitor and analyse content engagement, refining what you do in response to performance, ensuring all content is optimised for its intended platform.

Other Information
Although this position is mainly worked between Monday to Friday, evening and weekend work may sometimes be required (time would be given back in lieu).
We are based in Castleton Mill in Leeds, you will be required to travel frequently to our roastery in Armley and coffee shops along with B2B sites across the country and we can also facilitate working from home.
On occasion national and international travel will be required for the role.
