POSITION PURPOSE
Overall responsibility for the management and execution of Plant manufacturing operations achievement of safety, quality, service, and profit objectives in an FDA/GMP/ISO regulated environment. Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, empowering all Team Members in achieving world-class manufacturing results.
Demonstrate servant leadership while managing a facility with over 500 Team Associates operating in a fast-paced business, supporting our retail customers. Direct reports include Value Stream Operation Managers, Maintenance Manager, EHS Manager, and Training Manager This position reports to the Senior Director Manufacturing Operations and Warehousing.
The position interacts with all major departments within the Company including Production Planning/Inventory Control, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Quality Systems, Engineering, Research and Development, Human Resources, Marketing & Sales, M.I.S., and Finance.
This position may have an area of responsibly such as an Operational Line (Value Stream) or other functional role / area in manufacturing in addition to the role as Site Operations Leader.
EXPECTATIONS & DELIVERABLES
This position to drives change, set priorities, and drive accountability for actions that deliver value. Collaboration with external resources in functions such as Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Transportation, Customer Service, Warehousing, Human Resources, and Quality is critical. Collaboration with other Nice-Pak sites sharing and leveraging best practices is required for this role.
Immediate need to drive safety culture change focused on behavioral based safety programs, STOP Observation program, mitigation of all injuries, and engagement of safety programs at all levels within the site. Drive results that deliver ZIAK – zero injury of any kind.
Drives continuous improvement in quality and customer complaints working with all resources to drive a quality driven focus throughout the site with year of year improvement. Drive results that increase first pass yield and lower customer complaints.
Delivers a team of highly skilled personnel through hiring practices with talent acquisition, onboarding, training practices, and individual development plans.
Works with the Site Controller and other site managers to controls costs, develop cost cutting opportunities, and efficiently staff and operate the lines for the lowest cost per piece.
This position will assess the current team, working to drive a culture of teamwork, trust, and respect while building a cross functional high performing team with both direct and indirect reports.
As the Site Leader, will work with managers, supervisors, and all hourly associates for a positive working environment with a high level of communication and engagement which leads to goal achievement in addition to low employee turnover.
Drives a culture of continuous improvement by assessing gaps in achieving metrics. This person will challenge results and guide the team to assemble problem solving events that determine root cause and hold the team accountable for implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.
Drives continuous improvement in line efficiencies by delivering increased OEE on each production line. Ensures cross functional teams are focused on eliminating top causes of downtime, reducing changeovers, eliminating speed loss, and reducing waste / scrap.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
· Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Management Discipline, or equivalent work experience.
· Advanced degree such as an MBA or technical Master’s desired.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
1. Must have experience in the implementation and execution of Continuous Improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools (certifications in each a plus).
2. An understanding and application of “World Class” manufacturing concepts and initiatives to include optimization of high-speed packaging equipment, utilization of process management and controls, team-based work systems.
3. Looking for candidates with experience in improving OEE and reducing waste.
4. Exposure or experience in predictive and preventative machine maintenance, material utilization and waste management, and total quality management expected.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Approximately 5 years Manufacturing Management experience.
· Experience in a high speed, FDA regulated consumer packaged goods company a plus.
· Must have held positions of increasing responsibility in a Leadership role.
· Demonstrated ability to achieve manufacturing results in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Demonstrated effectiveness at collaborating and influencing multiple departments / functions to achieve results.
· Strong communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to develop strategic goals and accomplish results through a team.
· Strong computer and information technology skills.
· Good verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to generate reports.

TRAVEL:
Limited travel between sites, suppliers, customers, and OEM equipment manufacturers during capital projects.
