Be a well-respected clinical leader at the bedside and work collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to improve quality and education. Lead and inspire by example across the Cardiothoracic & Cardiac services. Assist with staff development and development of nursing practices, policies, and procedures. We are seeking a creative problem-solver with excellent communication, presentation and teamwork skills, who has a commitment to compassionate care. Step into this new role where you’ll participate in planning strategies, work closely with leadership and improve the practice of nursing and quality patient care. Position may be flexible to accommodate 10-hour days (4 days a week). Also must be flexible to work weekends, and/or nights/evenings occasionally to accommodate operational needs of the department. Preferred Criteria • Strong interest in leading quality initiatives Required Criteria • New York State Licensure • ANCC Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist an specialty certification in Adult Health • Masters Degree in Nursing • Minimum 3-5 years of Cardiothoracic/Cardiac nursing experience Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
