Midtown exists to inspire people to transform their lives. As our Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will lead Midtown Athletic Club’s email marketing strategy and execution, as well as foster the digital member community and online reputation. The primary focus will be building & optimizing email and SMS, segmenting audiences, and running analyses on the effectiveness of our campaign and automated flows. This position will further develop Midtown Athletic Club’s relationship with our prospective and existing members throughout their entire lifecycle.
In this role, you will work closely with the creative, digital marketing, and sales teams, overseeing 1 direct report focused on digital member communities and online reputation.
You will report to the Digital Director and sit on the digital marketing leadership team, which is part of the overall marketing organization at Midtown Athletic Club. The team has a hybrid work model, working out of the corporate office in Chicago, Illinois on Mondays, and Tuesdays. The remainder of the week can be remote or in the office, based on individual preference.

What Success looks like:
* Drive email marketing with a focus on segmentation, lifecycle marketing, insights, behavioral analysis, loyalty programs, and creating automation to deliver immersive, personalized, long-term relationships with our prospects and members.
* Email Marketing/SMS: Create detailed prospect and member journey flows, with both transactional and marketing touchpoints, with actionable moments to drive member acquisition and existing member engagement.
* Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Build segmentation strategies and understand how they contribute to our Digital Sales Funnel, improving and adjusting based on results.
* Reporting: Lead analysis on email performance recommending and implementing action items, new tests, and any areas of opportunity for advanced segmenting.
* Insights: Utilize behavioral insights to develop hypothesis-driven experiments and execute rigorous testing agenda to enhance campaign effectiveness.
* Copywriting: Ability to write clear, confident, and compelling email copy, like a human talking to a human.
* Collaboration: Partner with other digital channel stakeholders to design multi-channel lifecycle journeys
* Supervisor Responsibility: This role will oversee 1 team member focused on digital reputation and community management.
Experience Required
* Minimum 4-5 years of email or retention marketing experience required
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
* Experience working in CRM-based email marketing service (HubSpot Preferred)
* Basic Knowledge of google analytics
* Strong creative thinker with proven success driving CRM strategy and implementing effective direct communication
* Experience creating and maintaining automated email workflows
* Management experience preferred, desire to be a people manager required
