Marketing & Communications Manager
Summary of Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for leading Measurement Resources’ marketing strategy and the implementation of all branding and communications activities. The Marketing and Communications Manager must exhibit strong technical writing and editing skills, design skills, and possess the ability to self-direct his/her day-to-day activities. This individual will also work collaboratively in a team setting to support both Measurement Resources’ work and that of its clients. The Manager applies his/her knowledge to a wide variety of marketing collateral, including email, social media, website, print, virtual and live event production and associated materials, PowerPoint presentations, digital, video, etc. The Marketing & Communications Manager reports to the Executive Director.
Job Description
· Advances Measurement Resources’ brand and reputation
· Develops and Implements lead generation and related activities.
· Directs and executes Measurement Resources’ marketing and content marketing plan
· Develops and maintains brand guidelines
· Writes effective marketing copy for a variety of Measurement Resources’ communications channels, including print, web, presentations, events, email and social media
· Is accountable for the final development and production of creative assets associated with Measurement Resources’ marketing materials, including email, social media, website, print, event materials, PowerPoint presentations, video, etc.
· Demonstrates excellent communications skills in a variety of settings
· Collaborates with colleagues and clients to provide guidance on the writing, design and branding elements of each project, to ensure all products align with Measurement Resources’ or clients’ brand standards
· Provides writing and editing support for client deliverables
· Provides consultative support to the research team in developing a strong narrative around the presentation of findings for client reports
· Evaluates marketing-related metrics regularly, tests new hypotheses, and continuously improves overall approach to communications on behalf of the organization
· Seeks out speaking opportunities, sponsorship opportunities, awards and recognitions, and networking opportunities for increased awareness of Measurement Resources’ brand and lead generation
· Advocates for Measurement Resources’ clients by sharing their news and celebrating their successes
· Develops news releases and distributes to media contacts
· Assists with proposal writing and development
· Assists with lead-generation activities following events and other marketing campaigns
· Attends networking events on behalf of the organization
· Assists with the development and implementation of special events and publications
Additional Requirements
· Must be located in/near Central Ohio.
· Some travel may be required, primarily within Franklin County.
Qualifications
· 5+ years’ experience working within a communications setting, where marketing, copywriting, design and communications are primary responsibilities
· Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field preferred
· Demonstrated success in managing major communication and marketing projects from conceptualization to completion
· Experience effectively managing contractors and vendors and conveying ideas
· Ability to function collaboratively with team
· Experience with event planning
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud
· Experience with LinkedIn, SEO, WordPress, Google Analytics, and HubSpot[Au1]
· Experience in nonprofit, government and/or social enterprise sectors preferred

Salary range between $55,000 and $70,000 based on skills and experience.
Performance Expectation
Ongoing communication will occur regarding employee performance. A formal review will occur at least annually. Senior Consultant’s performance will be evaluated on the following elements.
