BURNCO has an exciting full-time, temporary 3-month opportunity for an agile, detail-oriented and eager Human Resources Generalist to be based out of our corporate office in Irving, Texas. Reporting to the HR Manager, USA, the Human Resources Generalist will execute key HR functions related to total rewards, talent management, training and development, and occupational health and safety to support key client groups. Specifically, as the successful candidate, you will facilitate benefits, payroll, and employee leaves in addition to workforce planning through best practices linked to company policies and procedures.

Here’s how you will support the team:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Assist with Open Enrollment for benefits and completing transactional requests in HRIS systems
• Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors and relay complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate stakeholder
• Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations to achieve seamless resolution
• Engage with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition team to track employee performance, productivity, recognition, and satisfaction
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
• Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs by collaborating with the talent acquisition team
• Demonstrate knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
• Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• SHRM-CP certification is a plus
• At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
• Prior experience with UKG Pro and Open Enrollment processes is considered an asset
• High level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills with an ability to analyze information and establish creative solutions through effective problem solving
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with high standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality when managing sensitive information
• Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines through assessment of high priority tasks and delegation when appropriate
• Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations and ability to quickly learn processes, policies, procedures, HRIS and talent management systems

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
