Position description
Manages policies and procedure documents within the Mayo Clinic Medication Management Collection and the Pharmacy Collection relating to institutional medication use processes and pharmacy practice. Prioritizes effort in support of Mayo Clinic Rochester practices, with extension of activity across the Mayo Clinic enterprise through convergence opportunities. Maintains a document tracking system to ensure timely policy document review and facilitates efforts toward converged documents for the enterprise. Utilizes project management skills to facilitate the policy review process in coordination with subject matter experts, requiring timely communication as well as attention to detail and follow-through. Maintains document intranet pages and participates in educating and orienting staff to the document review process.
Work is primarily self-directed and has allowance for remote work. Remote work available 50% of the time or more; business need requires employees to live within a reasonable driving distance of campus.
Qualifications
High School diploma and five years of successful administrative assistant, business or policy related experience, OR Associate’s degree and 3 years administrative assistant, business or policy related experience, OR Bachelor’s degree and 1 year administrative assistant, business or policy related experience.
Additional qualifications
Work experience in an academic medical center is preferred. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health care field is preferred. Must be self-motivated, flexible and respond to changing processes. Strong interpersonal skills desired, including the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) as well as strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail. Must be proficient with computer software and office equipment, e.g., Microsoft Office, electronic file management software, and other job-specific technology. Must maintain strict confidentiality of information and must exhibit good personal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and professionally to build rapport with others at all levels of responsibility. Must be adaptable and flexible in a changing work environment that requires upgrading of skills. Able to work as a team member including taking direction from others, as well as being self-directed to manage work.
