Position description
The Door Attendant is primarily responsible for assisting patients and guests to and from cars, courtesy vans, etc., at the MCHS-FH La Crosse campus busiest entrances. The Door Attendant is the first person encountered by patients and guests and must provide the most courteous and respectful customer service to all. Other responsibilities include coordinating the special shuttle needs of patients, keeping the patient loading zones clear, assisting with traffic control during all types of weather.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent required. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Additional qualifications
Associate Degree (or equivalent experience) in Hotel/Service Industry or Police Science or training as a Nursing Assistant or EMT preferred. Previous Customer Service preferred, ideally in the hotel industry, law enforcement or healthcare. Pleasant, courteous, professional and friendly manner and appearance. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. May be required to work at one of several different facilities, including the Medical Center, Center for Advanced Medicine and Surgery (CAMS), and Onalaska Clinic. Fluent in the English language.
License or certification
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
