VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) is an integrated health care delivery system, offering a comprehensive array of medical, surgical, rehabilitative, mental health and extended care to Veterans in Northern California. VANCHCS is affiliated with the University of California at Davis.
We are seeking a full-time General Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team at the Sacramento VA Medical Center. This clinic has up-to-date Imaging Equipment in all modalities and is linked by a PACS to the main University affiliated VA Medical Center located in Sacramento. Willing to read Neuro or Body and Mammography welcome.
All interested Radiologists must exhibit dedication to support and develop the department and be competent in all aspects of Diagnostic Radiology. Incumbent will be responsible for multiple locations within the Northern California network and limited on-site Fluoroscopy coverage 2-3 days/month. This is a Diagnostic Imaging position without responsibility for Nuclear Medicine or Interventional Radiology.
Work Schedule: 40hrs/week, 0800-1630; infrequent on-call responsibilities (1 week/every 6-7 weeks) from home (back-up if tele-radiology system goes down)

Candidates must: 1) be a US citizen or PRA (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with [38 U.S.C. § 7407(a)]; 2) possess a current, full, unrestricted medical license in any state, and 3) board prepared/certified in Diagnostic Radiology and 4) and confirm vaccination for seasonal influenza and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which are both requirements for all Health Care Personnel (HCP) employed by Department of Veterans Affairs. Preferred experience: Board Certified in Diagnostic with 2+ years’ experience in the field; a Neuro, Body or Chest fellowship trained Radiologist would be of added benefit, but other fellowship subspecialties will be considered. Mammography skills helpful, but not required.
