Maxar is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our Space Programs Delivery teams in Westminster, CO, San Jose, CA or Palo Alto, CA.

In this role, you will manage the Ground Software team responsible for commanding and monitoring satellites in orbit around the earth and moon. Your peer department managers are responsible for: Flight Software, Dynamics & Controls Analysis, Simulation, V&V, and Software Systems Engineering.
Your Projects: You will lead a team of 10-15 engineers using Scaled Agile Framework to partner with our customers like NASA to develop the Power Propulsion Element (PPE) for the Moon Gateway (Artemis) to send the first woman and the next man back to the moon. You will be responsible for new avionics software integrations, establishing software platforms, and developing ground control software. Additionally, you’ll be aiding peer teams who are developing dynamics spacecraft analyses, developing spacecraft simulators, and/or driving validation & verification for all satellite software projects.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
$155,000.00 – $258,000.00 annually.
Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.
