The Project Manager provides a wide range of support services to the Chief of Staff to the President of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and assists the Chief of Staff in achieving the goals of the MGH President, the MGH, and the Mass General Brigham (MGB) academic health care system. Daily tasks may include, but are not limited to, preparing presentations, conducting analysis and research, supporting the MGH President, the MGH Board of Trustees, and senior management committees that fall under the MGH President’s Office, planning events and meetings and handling related logistics, developing and maintaining office record-keeping systems, and helping to manage the Chief of Staff’s calendar. The Project Manager works closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including the MGH senior team, the executive and senior vice presidents, and chiefs of hospital clinical services, the MGH Board of Trustees, the Mass General Physicians Organization (MGPO), MGB system leaders and staff, government officials, and business and community leaders. The Project Manager engages in confidential and highly sensitive matters, requiring integrity, strong moral character, and discretion at all times.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide support to the MGH, the MGH Board of Trustees, and senior management committees that fall under the MGH President’s Office, including scheduling and logistics, identifying speakers, taking minutes, and maintaining records.
• Collaborate on projects and initiatives with various departments at MGH and across the MGB system, including, but not limited to, the Office of the MGPO President, Communications, Development, Information Systems, Human Resources, Clinical Operations and Finance.
• Create presentations, write memos and talking points, and produce reports.
• Review documents and materials produced by the Chief of Staff for accuracy and readability.
• Plan large and small meetings and events, including content development, researching speakers, handling logistics prior to and during the meeting or event, and conducting any follow-up needed.
• Work with internal services and external vendors as it relates to event and meeting planning.
• Maintain and regularly update a wide range of documents and support materials for the MGH, the MGH Board of Trustees, and senior management committees that fall under the MGH President’s Office.
• Utilize technology to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor expenses and assist in budget development and use of the MGH President’s Office operating and sundry funds.
• Occasionally, as needed, assist in managing the MGH President’s calendar or the Chief of Staff’s calendar during the executive assistant’s absence.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chief of Staff. QUALIFICATIONS:
3 to 5 years’ experience working in a large academic medical center with strong preference for someone with MGH experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience managing complex projects in a highly matrixed and collaborative organizational environment.
Experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks.

Normal office conditions. May occasionally be required to attend meetings outside of regularly scheduled hours.
