Massachusetts General Hospital Looking for Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Cardiac Access Unit at Boston Full Time

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Division of Cardiology is looking for a qualified, passionate, and energetic NP/PA to provide direct care to patients in a high-volume clinical service in our Cardiac Access Unit. The NP/PA will:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate a program of specialized health care for a select patient population with a broad range of Cardiovascular conditions including Heart failure, CAD, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day management of patients including direct care, history and physical, orders, admission, and discharge.
• Work collaboratively with the attending MD caring for the patients.
• Promote a collaborative relationship among various health care professionals toward continuity of patient care and efficient use of resources.
• Serve as a role model for professional medical practice in the management of patients with cardiovascular disease.

Qualified NP/PA candidates must have:

• Master’s degree in nursing, national certification in advanced practice nursing OR Master’s degree in physician assistant studies, with certification by NCCPA
• The ability to work the day shift with an evening rotation (3-11:30pm) once every 4-6 weeks.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
