Under the supervision and direction of the MGH Weight Center (WC) Medical and Surgical Co- Director’s and the WC Senior Administrative Manager and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State of Massachusetts governing advanced practice provider (APP) practice, the APP will be responsible for the care of adult and pediatric(as appropriate) patients who present to the WC for the medical treatment of obesity. The MGH WC is a collaborative service between the Departments of Medicine and Surgery that provides coordinated care to patients and their families as well as serving as a resource to the hospital and healthcare community in the areas of obesity management, bariatric surgery, and lifestyle medicine. A team of professionals specializing in weight management, including physicians, psychologists and dietitians provide a comprehensive approach to health and well-being. Our innovative program is a leader in the field and continues to expand to meet the needs of our patients. We are looking for a compassionate, self-motivated, and energetic candidate who will help us to expand our clinical capacity to treat and manage patients with Obesity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with our multidisciplinary team to manage medical treatments for obesity and co-morbid conditions. This activity includes on-going evaluations and care of patients. The APP will also participate in programmatic support, educational meetings, and quality improvement projects.
