1. Responsible for administrative management of approximately 40 FTEs, and non-salary expenses, including scheduling of staff on day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
2. Manages the Anesthesia Technician Clinical Supervisor, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the team.
3. Responsible for managing the recruitment and retention of staff.
4. Manages all HR related tasks such as timekeeping, performance management, Leave of Absences, enforcement/creation of policies and procedures.
5. Responsible for supply chain management and product evaluation and selection for all anesthetizing locations.
6. Collaborates and communicates with various vendors regarding new products and/or quality control issues.
7. Serves as a liaison to key constituents within the department and across MGH and the MGB Health Care system including physicians, residents and fellows, CRNAs, Human Resources, Materials Management, the Anesthesia Business Office, Biomedical Engineering, MGB Contracting and Purchasing department, Perioperative nursing leadership and other departments as needed.
8. Participates on multiple committees including CPSSC, Grand Rounds, Case Conference, DACCPM Managers forum and other committees as required.
9. Works on special projects as assigned.

2. Experience: 5 years of management experience required

Technical requirements :
Demonstrates knowledge of basic patient care principles. Has knowledge of HIPAA, Confidentiality and Privacy Policies. Required to understand and demonstrate understanding of MGH emergency protocols.
Environmental requirements :
Fast paced, high volume OR including 100 operating rooms and additional anesthetizing locations. Must be able to handle multiple demands, exercise appropriate judgment as necessary and possess strong problem-solving skills. Must be able to work among different cultural and academic levels.
