The Physical and Occupational Therapy Department at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) consists of 3 ambulatory care centers, 3 health care centers, and a large inpatient service. Our compassionate, vibrant, and dynamic group of over 250 clinicians , 85 of whom are ABPTS or AOTA board – certified clinical specialists , strive s daily to set the bar for top of license practice when it comes to physical and occupational ther apy science .
The Inpatient Physical Therapy Service delivers innovative care to the most medically complex patients in the world . With over 45 units and 1000 licensed beds, our clinicians have the opportunity to rotate to a wide variety of services including Medicine, Surgical, Orthopedics, Cardiac, Neurology, Oncology, Critical Care , Pediatrics , Burns/Plastics , and the Emergency Department. Our inquisitive and ambitious clinicians foster an environment o f lifelong learning , collaboration, and professional advancement.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking two outstanding physical therapists to serve as our next Inpatient Clinical Directors. Inpatient Clinical Directors will have the opportunity to not only manage the day-to-day operations of the service but also craft the vision of our department moving forward in the dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidates will have a strong desire to advance the acute care practice of physical therapy, a passion for patient care, and the ability to collaborate with diverse interprofessional groups . Additionally, leadership experience within an academic medical center environment is strongly encouraged. Candidates should have a commitment to mentorship and providing equitable opportunities for the professional growth of our staff .
