We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to drive large cross-functional programs for the Trust Engineering organization. At LinkedIn, the Trust Engineering team is entrusted with the responsibility of protecting our members’ data and making sure that our platform stays safe, trusted, and professional. The LinkedIn TPM role is highly diversified and includes initiating, planning and executing intermediate to large scale, cross-functional and company-wide programs. Through their deep project management knowledge and technical judgment, this leader will drive building proactive defenses to protect our members against abuse and harm on the platform, scaling our platforms and infrastructure with the growth of our business and providing industry leading solutions through technology innovation.
The right candidate will have demonstrated solid leadership in leading teams and programs in a fast-paced environment to deliver successful outcomes. This candidate is expected to perform using best practices for scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and executing our projects as well as initiating, planning, and executing intermediate-to-large scale, cross-functional, critical programs. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and guide engineers & teams to solve problems.
Responsibilities:
• Own and drive key cross-functional, technical engineering initiatives across Trust
• Support multiple cross-functional technical teams to deliver their objectives in fast-paced and complex programs and projects
• Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives
• Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs
• Lead efforts to identify risks, resolve key project conflicts, and establish appropriate resolution paths
• Fill in gaps across roles and functions as needed, performing as an adaptive problem solver
• Report on project status, risks, issues and mitigation plans
• Create a collaborative work environment that fosters shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning
• Coach and mentor others in the best practices of modern planning and execution
Basic Qualifications:
• B.S./B.A. Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team, of which at least 3+ years are managing technical programs/projects
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent programs
• Significant experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams, and individual contributors
• Passion about being an indispensable part of a great product
• Ability to communicate authoritatively at a sufficient technical depth
• Passion to learn new concepts and technologies
• Ability to build collaborations and create a community of leaders
• Agile coaching and practitioner experience (Scrum, Kanban) with multiple teams
• Experience in managing all phases of end-to-end product development
• Hands-on software development experience

The pay range for this role is $131,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
