LSS (LinkedIn Sales Solutions) is the leading Sales Intelligence for LinkedIn’s 1Billion+ member network to help sales professionals find and build relationships with prospects and customers through social selling. LSS is one of the fastest growing revenue lines of LinkedIn. Our flagship product for sales professionals, Sales Navigator, is leading the revolution for social selling by connecting buyers and sellers in a whole new way. Serving both large enterprises and individual consumers, Sales Navigator is a SaaS product that helps sales professionals target the right people, understand their accounts, and engage at the right time.
LSS is looking to hire a Principal Staff Software Engineer to partner with the Sr. Director of Engineering to lead the technical vision and development of Sales Navigator 4.0. You would lead the initiative to rebuild Sales Navigator from the ground with an AI first mindsight, reimagining the entire workflow.
Responsibilities:
You will build and ship software, drive architectural decisions and implementation across LSS teams.
You will actively improve the level of craftsmanship at LinkedIn by developing best practices and defining best strategies.
You will lead cross team/cross-functional discussions and drive alignment on product/technology strategy.
You will define the bar for quality and efficiency of software systems while balancing business impact, operational impact and cost benefits of design and architectural choices.
You will act as one of the primary domain experts to influence technology choices.
You will lead by example to build a culture of craftsmanship and innovation.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or related practical experience
8+ years of programming experience in Java, C++, C# or similar programming languages
8+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, applications or similar experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
12+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience with strategic planning, executing on a long term roadmap, team development and scaling processes to support business growth.
Experience designing and building infrastructure and backend services at internet scale.
Experience building and shipping high quality work while achieving high reliability.
Experience utilizing data and analysis in articulating technical problems and in arriving at recommendations and solutions.
Experience leading high-impact cross-org initiatives

The pay range for this role is $195,000 to $320,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
