Clinical Assistant Professor of Education

are invited for a full-time teaching position in the Department of Education. This nine-month position will begin on August 15, 2024.
Faculty responsibilities: This position requires teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate education courses,
which may include adolescent literacy, adolescent development, and clinical experiences in 6-12 settings, based on the academic background
and experience of the candidate and departmental need. Faculty are also responsible for academic advising of majors, may supervise
candidates in clinical/ field experiences, and are expected to engage in service at the university and in the community related to their
professional area of expertise.
Required: The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate at the time of
appointment in Curriculum and Instruction, Adolescent Literacy, or a closely related field. At least 3 years of public classroom experience
at the middle level is required.
Preferred: Teaching experience at the university level, strong communication and
interpersonal skills, and experience teaching online preferred. Experience working with diverse students in public school settings,
including but not limited to students with exceptionalities and multilingual learners, preferred. Experience serving as a supervisor for
field/ clinical experiences in public school settings preferred. Candidates engaged in scholarly activity to enhance their teaching and
professional expertise preferred.
