*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Assist and train in various Human Resources responsibilities as well as other departments.
* Talent acquisition process to include – applicant tracking, recruitment, testing, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified candidates.
* Manage temporary associates to include – coordination with plant supervisors and temporary agencies to fill roles as needed, track and manage full time onboarding process after temporary status is complete, etc.
* Assist with onboarding process to include – drug screening, collection of new hire documentation for direct hire and temporary to permanent roles, etc.
* Responsible for new hire orientation process.
* Manage employee data entry process with strong attention to detail.
* Manage DOT process and compliance for plant.
* Assist with coordination of company events as needed.
* Work alongside production and assist other leadership roles to promote plants safety program, safety monitoring, trainings, monthly/annual reporting, audits, and assist with workers compensation process as needed.
* Assist with FMLA, benefits, 401K, and unemployment process as needed.
* Motivate, advise, and mentor employees on HR relations matters.
* Perform other office duties as assigned. Some duties may be unrelated to HR.
*QUALIFICATIONS*
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask when needed.
* Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE*
* Previous Human Resources experience not required but motivation to want to train on HR matters is needed.
* Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
* Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
