We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. This role will play a pivotal part in the strategic development and execution of our organization’s human resource and talent strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions such as talent acquisition, benefits and compensation analysis, learning and development initiatives, employee programs and events, disciplinary procedures, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, focusing on current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
2. Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
3. Maintain personnel records and HRIS processes and generate reports as required by internal and external customers.
4. Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles.
5. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
6. Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
7. Manage the coordination of annual employee programs and events.
8. Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
9. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
10. Keep up-to-date with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field is a plus.
2. A minimum of 3 years of human resource management experience is required, preferably in the Engineering industry.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
9. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
10. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
