This job contributes to Starbucks’ success by leading a team of store partners to create and maintain the Starbucks Experience for our customers and partners.
The *Multi-Unit General Manager* is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the store. In particular, a majority of time is spent supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions (i.e., hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, discharging, staffing and scheduling), ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the store’s financial performance, and managing safety and security within the store. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
This position requires hands-on management of staff and store.

*Planning and Execution: *
* Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
* Monitors and manages store staffing levels to ensure partner development and talent acquisition to achieve and maintain store operational requirements.
* Utilizes existing tools to identify and prioritize communications and regularly uses discretion to filter communications to the store team. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.

*Physical Requirements: *
The work area includes: food, ovens, mixers, food processors, knives, slippery floors, and, at time, high temperatures. It is a hands-on, non-smoking, restaurant setting involving constant interaction with customers, employees, managers and vendors. The ability to effectively communicate, identify food quality, tolerate heat and walk-in freezers, lift and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk on hard surfaces during the course of the work day. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to taste and/or smell. The employee is required to sit; grip and grasp with hands, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and bend at the waist.
