Our client is a leading NYC based manufacturer of Private Label and Branded Apparel. They are seeking a confident, self-independent and motivated Junior Planning Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Planning role will be focused on the client’s Ecommerce and Store business. Are you an eager self-starter who loves using data analytics and consumer insights to help make critical decisions that drive sales through accuracy in inventory planning and replenishment programs? If so, this could be a perfect job for you!
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PLANNING ANALYST:
● Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales, inventory and replenishment reports, and other ad hoc business recaps to support the team
● Create and manage style, category, size, and other various level selling reports needed for the planning function
● Analyze store level business and inventory flow, to drive sales, improve in-stock and optimize turn
● Create Ladder plan and developing strategic unit/financial plans for the management team
● Formulate business strategies using historical and current trend analysis
● Identify sales and profit opportunities/liabilities and make recommendations to the department
● Research and resolve issues related to purchasing orders, shipments, and sales
● Support cross functional teams with weekly reporting to support sales and inventory position
● Create advanced Access queries and macros to data-mine and analyze retail data (preferred)Collaborate with peers to ensure consistency of information, best practices and to develop systems knowledge

● Manage to monthly BOM targets, provide recommendations and actions to hit the plan
● Manage in-season inventory and flow to support sales trends
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PLANNING ANALYST
● The Planner roles will require excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability work productively in a team setting
● Self-starter and able to work independently with no supervision
● Excellent problem solving, analytical and math skills; detail-oriented
● Comfort with learning new systems, including company proprietary systems and Walmart retail systems
● Strong Excel, PowerPoint & Access skills for analysis and reporting
● Ability to analyze information and make data-based recommendations
