Lucky Brand Looking for ASSOCIATE PRODUCT MANAGER (FABRIC), Aeropostale/Lucky Brand/Nautica at New York , New York Full Time

 Overview

The Associate Fabric Manager (Aeropostale/Lucky Brand/Nautica) supports the research and development of fabric needs across various divisions.  This position tracks the fabric development and production process, communicates relevant information to vendors and cross functional partners, and maintains in-house material libraries and database platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support Fabric Manager to facilitate and maintain corporate fabric standard approvals for bulk production of knits and wovens across multiple item categories.
• Assist in sourcing and developing new fabrics to meet the Design team’s seasonal vision, merchandising requirements, and company business goals.
• Conduct appropriate and timely follow up with both internal and external partners on approvals, and highlight any production issues or risks during development.
• Collect and check fabric specification sheets and testing reports for accuracy, and flag any concerns.
• Daily communication with global suppliers to facilitate all deliverables in timely manner.
• Track and manage tailoring sample development.
• Maintain alignment of material records and details on all data platforms.
• Organize core fabric material library, and catalogue seasonal innovation archives.
• Manages other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience in Product Development or Textiles, preferred.
• 3-4 years’ experience with the knowledge of product development/ fabric lifecycle process.
• General knowledge of fabric types, construction, fibers, yarn sizes, printing, and dye methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, experience in DeSL or PLM a plus.
• Some knowledge of material or garment testing protocols.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities beyond job description
• Works with sense of urgency as needed.
• Flexible, organized, and enthusiastic team player.
