The Program Coordinator is the first point of contact at the Center for the Environment for visitors, students, faculty and staff.
Position Description
Duties include but are not limited to: answering phones and email; directing calls; greeting walk-in traffic and serving as an information resource for all campus and off-campus constituencies. Handles space requests and maintains multiple seminar room calendars. Organizes and maintains departmental common areas, maintains office supply inventory, orders coffee and coffee supplies, processes supply/catering invoices for payment, and maintains office equipment (copiers, printers). Acts as liaison to Building Manager, University Mail Services, HUIT Telecom, and Harvard Parking Services. Organizes and distributes office keys and coordinates maintenance requests. Coordinates mail services, including FedEx. Assists with event-related activities (catering orders, event set-up, audio-visual connections) including weekly colloquium group meetings.
Basic Qualifications
A minimum of three years experience, education beyond high school may count towards experience.
Additional Qualifications And Skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Strong customer-service orientation. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic familiarity with standard office software required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Business/secretarial training beyond high school preferred.
