Our Golden Rule Salespeople are more like Tour Guides or Customer Service Ninja’s than traditional pushy car people (No Sharks on our Showroom). They assist Internet, Phone and On Lot customers with the investigation, presentation, demonstration, and negotiation of our automobiles. We work in a virtually fail proof team selling system and will team you up with layers of support (dedicated mentor/team leader) to help you every step of the way; to train, motivate, encourage, support, and serve you and your clients.

We run an activity-based dealership. We don’t come to work to wait, we come to work to work. We generate tons of leads via the internet, social media, lead generation and lead acquisition. You will get your fair share of these leads plus get to participate in the rich history of Harbor Repeat and Referral business. If you follow our proven process and work our proven systems, you will achieve above average results in our industry.
The “secret sauce” to our success in retaining happy co-workers is not just our pay-plans, but our work schedule. Normally you get a great pay-plan or a great work schedule; we offer BOTH! Our salespeople are scheduled off for a 3-Day weekend every other week (off Friday, Saturday and Sunday every other week). Yes, you read that correctly. When we say we value family, we back it up with our work schedules and pay-plans.
We can teach you automotive product knowledge and communication skills, but we cannot teach talent, energy, positive attitude, character, and drive (we can help bring this out of you if you have it inside). We will provide you with the tools, support and training it takes to be successful. You will need to supply the “get up and go” – the positive attitude and the work ethic.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? WHO SUCCEEDS?
We have a proven track record with many types of people from many backgrounds, education, and experience levels. We have two specialties:
FIRST: Those with No Experience in the auto industry. We have an amazing environment that puts the customer first and it can sometimes be hard to “convert” those with automotive experience. In a perfect world, we have the best results with those with experience in/as: Restaurant Servers, Hospitality, Call Center, or Retail Sales (Electronics, Mattress, Shoes, Apparel, Etc.). We don’t require any specific amount of education, but sometimes education helps us fast track certain co-workers into leadership. We also love and support our military and encourage x-military members to apply.
SECOND: Those who worked for another dealership but always thought to themselves “there has to be a better way to do this.” If this is you, then we need to talk. However, if you loved the car business at “the other place” (making fun of customers, hurting people, cussing, and complaining about your customers), then please don’t apply!

COMPENSATION AND EARNING POTENTIAL*:
Aggressive Base Pay and Bonus Plan:
Hourly Rate for Hours Worked, PLUS:
Per Vehicle Performance Bonus (Starting at Unit #1)
Manufacturer Sales Bonus Program
Monthly Variable Bonus Programs:
Per Vehicle Profit Sharing Bonus (Starting at Unit #1)
Monthly Total Profit Sharing Bonus (at minimum volume levels)
IN OUR CURRENT RETAIL ENVIRONMENT:
Earnings Range Estimated: $60,000 – $200,000 per year
Sales Champions can earn more than $150,000+ annually selling 20+ Vehicles per Month*
Achievers can earn approximately $90,000 – $100,000 annually selling around 15 Vehicles per Month*
Average Performers earn approximately $50,000 – $60,000 annually selling around 10 Vehicles per Month*
*Based on Current Dealership Averages, Payplan and Bonus Structure. Subject to modification.
