The Position
The Position Who We Are The Pathology Lab Marketing team has evolved its operating model and there is tremendous opportunity to influence a deeper understanding of customer needs, Roche and competitive products and internal processes that optimize the customer experience. This role is responsible for leading the Portfolio and Customer Strategy team on the Pathology Lab Marketing Team guiding the marketing managers responsible for our portfolio, customer and channel management strategies. Job Facts: Responsible for providing strategic leadership for portfolio marketing strategy and messaging, customer buying journey, segmentation, channel strategy and execution and other core marketing fundamentals. Inspires and leads a high performing team. Works to inspire and continuously improve the competency level of the marketing managers. Influences market research initiatives to better understand the customer buying journey and market and competitive insights to inform our portfolio and customer strategies. Interacts with key stakeholders, including our Agency of Record, Sales, Global Teams, and other internal teams, to inform a portfolio and customer strategy to achieve our business goals. Provides leadership for core marketing activities, including annual marketing planning, channel strategy and execution, segmentation, portfolio messaging, competitive strategy and market research. Leads the development of metrics and analytics to assess track performance of the team’s strategies and tactics to ensure attainment of organizational goals. Leads the development and implementation of the marketing strategies, tactics, and initiatives, ensuring that all key business processes are executed as designed and ensuring an overall alignment to goals. Will serve as the global liaison for marketing strategies and tactics, and provide support for marketing plans to ensure alignment with global vision and lifecycle plan. Develops corporate short and long-term goals, and objectives for specific area of responsibility. Create and drive strong linkage to other functional areas, business areas, and colleagues, to ensure achievement of objectives with successful stakeholder management and effective resolution of issues. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and other key external individuals. Train and provide ongoing coaching and performance management to support continual enhancement in overall productivity and career development of all direct reports. Ensure the appropriate integration of the portfolio into the overall franchise solution as well as the enterprise solution. May be responsible for identifying opportunities within their assigned segment / focus area and engaging local stakeholders to maximize impact of programs in the market. Location: The preferred location is Indianapolis, IN Relocation assistance is not being provided Who you are: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific field 5 years of marketing experience 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience in core marketing fundamentals Proficient in the Tissue Diagnostics business and product offerings Proven ability to influence others, strong stakeholder management and communication skills Proven record of navigating complex and challenging situations and ability to lead and navigate a high-pressure environment with significant timeline pressures Excellent leadership qualities, including motivating others, coaching, and team building Understanding of internal processes and ability to simplify and standardize processes to enhance efficiencies Global Grade – Please note that the global grade displayed is a target global grade for the role and the actual global grade offered to a candidate may vary depending on several factors – including scope and breadth of the role.
