About This Role:
The Market Impact practice lets our clients tell great stories, fueled by data and objective analysis, to amplify and elevate their market presence and engage their buyers. This role primarily focuses on custom market research and analysis as well as creation of marketing content for technology marketers.
The Market Impact Associate Consultant works with senior consultants, analysts, and other consulting staff to scope, manage, and deliver custom engagements. This individual collects and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data through surveys and interviews and helps create high-quality, research-based consulting deliverables that our clients publish to a wide audience as part of their content marketing programs. Our ideal candidate sets project plans and timelines and schedules and facilitates client interactions. As the operational engine of the practice, success in this position entails maintaining and innovating processes, tools, and data that drive the efficiency and quality of our team and products.
Job Description:
Execute custom quantitative and qualitative research and other project methodologies, and hone research design and analysis skills. Support senior consulting staff on research/survey design, coordinating executive interviews and managing quantitative data gathering and back-end data aggregation, analysis, and visualization work to support deliverables.
Serve as a project facilitator and key contributor to consulting projects sold to senior-level marketing executives at large/global technology organizations.
Develop project plans and meeting agendas, set milestones, coordinate internal and external resources and schedules to ensure project delivery, manage project expenses and revenue, and monitor progress against client and internal commitments.
Contribute to client satisfaction and project quality. Focus on project outcomes and client value, including responsibility for overall polishing/editing of project deliverables.
Manage third-party agencies to field custom research for projects (including vendor selection, data quality control, and adherence to project deadlines).
Lead and support operational initiatives contributing to the success and growth of the Market Impact practice – e.g., repositories, value capture, sales enablement tools and data, templates, process improvements, etc.
Job Requirements:
A BA/BS degree with a strong academic record; any equivalent work experience with three-plus years in client/project management, market research, marketing, or editorial/communications. Experience in B2B and technology is preferred.
Familiarity with statistical methods and strong Excel skills; working knowledge of statistical software/tools (e.g., SPSS, MarketSight, SurveyMonkey) is a plus.
Background in project management; preferably vendor management; exceptional attention to detail and efficiency in simultaneously handling multiple projects.
Superior communication skills; the ability to present; write; and visualize data with a high degree of intensity, follow-through, and collegiality.
The drive and autonomy to deliver research/data-driven engagements to high-level marketing executives.
Collaboration across and outside the organization to meet clients’ needs.
The salary range for New York City based candidates is $70,176 to $105,264.
