The Physical Therapy Department is currently seeking a Student Office Assistant to join their team of professionals. Duties include:

• Primary responsibility will be with PT Admissions matters including but not limited to verifying requirement in PTCAS, and scheduling interviews.
• Assist with administrative duties and provide support to PT faculty, staff and students.
• Handles and monitors student data and assist in reporting functions.
• Performs other related duties that are required or as directed,. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of PC operations and specialized software.
Ability to take direction and work independently as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

Student Assistant

• Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
• During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
• Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.

Monday to Friday / 20 Hours a week

$12/hourly
