First National Bank of America is seeking a Bilingual Loan Specialist to complete the due diligence requirements for purchasing prospective loans in compliance with bank guidelines. The Loan Specialist supports the Loan Acquisitions Account Executives, by communicating with outside customers, and third party providers to obtain documentation to submit a thorough, accurate, and complete loan package to Underwriting. This position maintains control of the loan file, monitors dates for appraisals, and ensures that all deadlines are met within a timely and efficient manner. An effective Loan Specialist recognizes and resolves challenges early in the process, and provides excellent customer service. Bilingual communication in Spanish/English is needed for this role.

Location: On-site in our East Lansing, MI office
Responsibilities:
Initiate outbound calls to loan payer to verify accuracy of loan terms and property condition
Provide great service to the sales team and customers
Follow up on all outstanding orders to third parties and borrowers, within established company deadlines
Perform the quality control of the file
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
Proven attention to detail, including the ability to read, examine, and organize documents.
