Responsibilities of the cook:
- Provide the highest-quality meals to all our guests
- Complete all necessary set up, side work, and closing duties as assigned
- Check restaurant before, after, and during shift for cleanliness
- Be knowledgeable of all menu items
- Help create daily specials for the restaurant
- Check the food presentation before sending it out to the customer. We have to make sure it’s correct and hot the first time
- Help wash dishes throughout the shift if it’s a slow time and it’s needed
- Teamwork, Teamwork, Teamwork
- Check food stock and prep throughout shift to help make sure we stay on top of our inventory
- Any other reasonable duties required
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Pay includes a base salary of 19hr which is paid out bi-weekly. Cash tips are given at the end of the night from the servers when you are line cooking
Hours for the restaurant are 1130am until 7pm. Shifts are from 10:45am until we finish cleaning after closing, usually around 8pm.
Housing and a shift meals are included in your compensation package.
We have three rooms in our boathouse for housing. They are simple rooms with a community kitchen and bathroom. No roommates, everyone has their own room.
If you have a RV, we have some employee sites as well, but those are 100 dollars a month to stay in. That includes water, electric and sewer and internet.
Coin laundry is available onsite
A car is highly recommended. We are about 25 minutes from the nearest town
Full season availability is a must at this time, late May through the end of September.
