Bull Hill Guest Ranch, located in northeastern Washington State, sits at the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains near British Columbia, Canada. Sweeping panoramic views of neighboring Idaho, Lake Roosevelt and Canada provide a backdrop setting that is one of the most picturesque in the Pacific Northwest. Opened in 1995, Bull Hill Guest Ranch is part of a large working cattle ranch that dates back to 1903.
The main duty of a wrangler at Bull Hill is to entertain and socialize both on and off the trail. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and a love for taking care of people. We are looking team members that value the human connection as much as the horsemanship We expect our wranglers to make safe autonomous choices to create an unforgettable vacation experience for our guests and should be comfortable with an upbeat, dynamic work environment. We are looking to create consistent quality guest experiences. Because you ride with your guests for their entire stay you will have the opportunity to create life long friendships and connections.
A day at the ranch starts with organizing and saddling up to 35 horses with the wrangler team before heading up to breakfast. At breakfast, it is the wranglers duty to meet with your assigned group and plan their activities for the day. Our rides are 1-3 hours in length, and all-day rides are offered. We are a working cattle ranch and the wranglers will also be apart of cattle drives with our guests regularly. There are two rides everyday, followed by happy hour and dinner at the Cook House.
In the evening, Wranglers are bartenders and hosts to the guests. This responsibility includes making cocktails, stocking and maintaining the bar, and spending time with our guests. Bartending training is provided at the start of the season. This is an important part of our culture and a treasured part of our guest’s vacation.
We require all of our wranglers to be available to start by 5/23/22.
