This position will lead the Hospitality Team at Duke University Chapel. This position is responsible for managing the experience of all visitors to Duke Chapel, supervision and scheduling of Visitor Relations and Wedding personnel, and the Chapel’s event calendar. The Manager also serves as the first point of contact for Chapel staff and departments across campus, who wish to use the Chapel for rehearsals, tours, performances, services, and other events and programs. The Hospitality Manager is a vital link between the internal operations of the Chapel and the guest and visitor experience.
Work Performed
Supervise Visitor Relations Assistants and Wedding personnel (30%)
Manage the Chapel’s complex calendar (30%)
Coordinate the Volunteer Docent Team and support Visitor Engagement (20%)
Event coordination and worship support (15%)
Other duties as needed (5%)
Be available for any duties as assigned or directed by the Director of Development & Strategy. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein as directed.
