The Department of Arts and Letters is seeking applicants for an Assistant Professor of English Education. The faculty member will be required to teach courses in English Composition, Secondary Language Arts and/or Communication Methods, and other areas within the discipline as needed, as well as serve as university supervisor for student teachers. This position also requires willingness to teach online and/or hybrid courses in addition to traditional face-to-face teaching. The faculty member will work collaboratively in a department that serves a number of majors and minors and functions as an integral part of the general education curriculum for all programs on campus. Additional responsibilities include quality academic advising service to students, participation in departmental and University committees, and service to the campus and larger community.
