Overview
This is a Compliance Product Manager role with the Trade Surveillance area in the compliance division, which aims to build models to detect market manipulation via various statistical and rules-based techniques. It is also responsible to provide a fit-for-purpose User Interface (UI) to research alerts via graphs and analytical signals. As the Compliance Product Manager, you will be leading the technology team to ensure the technical deliverables are delivered within the agreed timelines. This is a trade surveillance level role responsible for the User Interface Program Backlog and coordinating the activities of the User Interface Product Management Group and the Product Owner Team. You will be the overall content authority for the UI functionality.

What You’ll Do
Manage the scope and schedule of a project with an Agile approach (Establishing and modifying the project roadmap as required), while providing transparency through consistent reporting and communication for internal and external stakeholders, as well as managing the financial aspect of a project with regards to reporting Actual spend to forecasting the cost of the project through its various lifecycles
Verification of functional requirements analysis performed and aligning with documentation of business requirements, as well as qualifying Data and systems analysis to support documentation and understanding of the current state and gaining client and Information Technology (IT) sign-off of requirements documents and specifications by conducting walkthroughs, presentations, and formal reviews
Perform reviews and provide feedback on documentation produced by members of the team, as well as drive and deliver initiatives to improve the team’s delivery processes and methods
Work closely with the development teams to develop functional specifications and help develop technical designs
Ensure that development teams and management have a clear understanding of business priorities
Manage and execute acceptance testing – both user acceptance testing (UAT), with the client performing execution, and acceptance testing prior to UAT start
How You’ll Lead
Defining and articulating what, why and when of the product (feature definition and acceptance criteria) that teams build and prove
Owning and defining the program backlog
Establishing a cohesive partnership with the product group
Skills You’ll Need
Extensive experience working as a delivery Manager in a technology team in a financial services organization (preferably a tier 1 investment bank) with good knowledge of equity or debt products, preferably though the whole product lifecycle
Knowledge of the key responsibilities of an investment bank’s Compliance department (preferably Trade Surveillance, Information Barriers, and Employee Surveillance)
An in-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) with the ability to select the right tools / methodologies for a given task with strong understanding of the technology product and project lifecycle
Proven experience writing clear concise project status that can be reported to senior management
Systems and data analysis skills, including Structured Query Language (SQL) and desktop data analysis tools. Any data modelling / warehousing experience would be an advantage

Able to work effectively with all levels of clients and IT stakeholders up to and including director, as well as plan, own, and run a portfolio of tasks
Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical audiences
Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent
A strong critical thinker with creative problem-solving skills, while able to work with remote stakeholders and team members
Flexible, able to organize and prioritize your work and the work of the team, and able to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $120,000 to $200,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
