Job Description: Sales Planning and Events Specialist
Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a contractor – Sales Planning and Events Specialist. This role is a key member of our client’s sales team. They will be responsible for coordinating and executing sales planning activities, managing sales-related events and All Hand meetings. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless sales operations and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the sales team. The Sales Planning and Events Specialist collaborates with various stakeholders to create sales strategies, support sales initiatives, and facilitate impactful events to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Planning and Strategy:
· Collaborate with the sales leadership to develop and implement effective sales events aligned with the company’s overall objectives and revenue targets.
· Conduct research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for providing valuable insights for sales planning.
· Assist in developing sales forecasts and budgets related to event management, monitoring performance metrics, and recommending adjustments as needed.
2. Sales Events and Promotions:
· Plan the agenda, build the content and presentations for the sales events. This individual will not shop for the venues, that will be handled by another group.
· Coordinate, and execute sales-related events, such as product launches, sales conferences, trade shows, and customer appreciation and recognition events.
3. All Hand Meetings:
· Generate the theme and agendas for “All Hands” meetings.
· Develop the executive level presentations for the events or customer meetings.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
· Build and maintain positive relationships with key clients and partners to support sales efforts and foster long-term business partnerships.
5. Budget Management:
· Monitor and manage the budget allocated for sales planning and events, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales, event management, or project management are beneficial.
· Proven experience in sales planning, sales operations, or event management, preferably within a related industry.
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Excellent organizational and project management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
· Effective communication and presentation skills to interact with sales teams, clients, and stakeholders.
· Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative sales strategies and event concepts.
· Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced sales environment.
· Must be able to work 4 days/week either in Piscataway, NJ or Long Island City, NY.
· Prior Chief of Staff experience a major plus.
