The Global Inventory Optimization Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for driving better decisions across the supply chain via data-based analytics and Gemba validations. The primary charter of the position will be to generate actionable insights to drive step function improvements in inventory performance. This role will gather and analyze complex data sets using appropriate analytical methods to generate such insights. You will assist in the application of statistical and qualitative methods to optimize inventory settings, policies, and practices. In addition, the successful candidate will lead global rollout of data requirements, tools, and KPI’s to maximize inventory performance while ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
This position is part of the Global Supply Chain and is based in Chaska, Minnesota. It will be a hybrid role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Implement continuous improvement opportunities to drive efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness in Inventory and Materials Planning & Procurement domain.
Prepare and present analytical reports, findings, and recommendations/actionable insights to key cross-functional stakeholders. Help drive daily management to drive actions and countermeasures to achieve key KPI’s.
Gather and analyze large, complex data sets, using appropriate analytical methods and mathematical models/tools to develop supply network models/what-if scenarios to understand, predict, and improve product velocity, flows, and processes.
Develop and maintain inventory tracking systems and databases to monitor inventory levels across all locations.
Drive data maintenance and data mining capabilities to assist teams in developing key initiatives to improve inventory turns for both hardware and consumable products.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business analytics, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or Master’s degree in field with 3+ years’ experience.
Proven experience working in inventory management, production planning, materials planning, and procurement processes, preferably in a global environment.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and advanced MS Excel functions.
DBS or Lean Experience Required with demonstrated “Hands-on” experience in implementing lean tools, i.e., Standard work, 5S, Kanban, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, and Structured Problem Solving.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Programming skill sets such as SQL and DAX
Software experience in Power BI/Tableau
Inventory project experience with impactful results
