1. Leadership for the development and technology personnel, as well as the Managed Services Provider. This position will have managers and other key resources as direct reports and will report to the Sr VP & Administrator.
2. Technical advisor to the CEO, Executive Committee, and IT staff. Will be expected to stay current on the latest technology trends and innovation as it relates to healthcare IT.
3. Identify emerging technologies and analyze them for potential integration within the organization.
4. Overall responsibility for all day-to-day activities, monitoring of the infrastructure and ensuring system availability 24x7x365.
5. Leadership of strategic and tactical decisions surrounding virtualization, storage, backups, wireless, telecommunications, infrastructure, business continuity and other technical systems as needed.
6. Oversee the management of third-party service providers, contracts, vendor resources, and software licensing compliance.
7. Develop and manage technology capital and operations budgets.
8. Guidance and leadership in development, deployment, management, and administration of corporate systems.
9. Overall ownership of all technology issues, ensuring production issues are on a fast path to resolution.
10. Responsible for providing leadership, staff development and management of key services in accordance with policies and procedures and current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
11. Completes performance evaluations and initiates personnel actions, such as merit increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and terminations.
12. Conducts department meetings monthly (at a minimum) and bi-weekly (required) 1:1 meetings with departmental staff.
13. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
14. Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the department’s goals and objectives. Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
15. Directs and prioritizes development (NextGen) in-line with organization goals and values.
16. Oversee and prioritize reporting development based on organizational requirements.
17. Drives requirements for the technology staff on the development of training materials and conducting training in all areas of technology.
18. Responsibility of availability, capacity, and security of in-house and remote data centers.
19. Oversight of telecommunication services including provisioning, management of data lines, phone lines, key systems, VoIP as well as cost management of these items.
20. Analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to manage multiple projects.
21. Directs operations in executing production tasks according to a documented schedule that meets or exceeds customer expectations
22. Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts.
23. Manage multiple, parallel projects using formal project planning techniques.
24. Directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes
25. Develop IT Roadmap and provide ongoing status reporting.
26. Performs other duties as assigned to support the mission, values, and strategies of Nura.
Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:
1. 10+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure design and architecture across multiple distributed computing technologies including server, network, telecom and storage technologies.
2. Experience with project management techniques and practical project management skills.
3. Experience leading organizations that support a 24x7x365 environment. Healthcare experience preferred.
4. Proven ability to lead managers/supervisors toward both tactical and strategic goals.
5. Solid vendor management and contract resource management is required.
6. Technical understanding of the following:
Avaya VoIP system including SIP
Mobile technologies, MDM solutions, tablet hardware and software (Windows, IOS, & Android)
Network operations for voice, data, and video including MPLS
Advanced networking (wired and wireless) such as network switches, access points, firewalls, and routers.
7. Understanding of Microsoft server technologies and Active Directory.
8. Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework to establish an IT Service Management environment or ITIL v3 certification a plus.
9. Knowledge of Cisco switching and routing hardware, VPN, etc.
10. Experience with Wireless Controller and AP’s, remote access, and content filtering
11. Experience with Cloud based technologies (IaaS, Azure, Amazon S3, etc.)
12. Experience defining and implementing IT policies and procedures.
13. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
14. Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision.
15. Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
16. Full COVID-19 vaccination.
Education:
BS or BA degree in Information Systems or related field of study, preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
1. PMP, ITIL, SSCP, CISSP Certifications preferred.
