Human Resources Business Partner (REMOTE but needs to reside in Phoenix or Nevada)
Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Human Resources Business Partner to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will play a highly visible role and serve as a key member of the human resources team. You will have primary responsibility for the integration, development, engagement, and retention of colleagues within the Convergint Technology Centers (CTC) within their assigned region. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do
Internal Management Consultant & Colleague Advocate: The HRBP consults with the business’s leadership and management to foster and promote the engagement of the business’s core values and culture at all levels. This role also assists management and leadership in resolving colleague relation issues, conducting effective investigations, and recommending action for sensitive and complex situations. They coach the region’s management in performance management processes, compensation and remuneration programs, recruitment practices, and management decision making.
Strategy: The HRBP plays a critical role in aligning colleagues, process, and structure to the overall business strategy. In this strategic role, the HRBP facilitates effective implementation of new colleague management initiatives across all levels of the organization, ensuring relevancy to each team impacted.
The HRBP reviews gaps in CTC skill set across departments within the region and develops action plans accordingly. In this capacity, the HRBP will analyze skill sets, certifications, conduct performance analyses and coordinate training and succession plans with local management.
The HRBP will conduct annual planning sessions with all Regional Vice Presidents and CTC General Managers to develop annual recruitment plans. Communicating hiring needs back to the Talent Acquisition team and support the development of sourcing strategy for the region.
Collaboration: The HRBP collaborates with the Regional Vice Presidents and General Managers as well as other HR team members in developing various solutions to further drive business results such as recruitment plans, identifying training needs, and advocating for continuous learning for colleagues where necessary. The HRBP also partners with stakeholders in ensuring that the best practices are being adopted, ensuring the delivery of projects as required, as well as ensuring that key deliverables are met within the specified timelines.
Knowledge and Opportunity: The HRBP maintains a clear and detailed knowledge of the industry trends, best practices, and labor legislation for region being supported.
They are also very active in social, cultural, and educational projects that reflect the values and beliefs of the Convergint. The HRBP strives to monitor and challenge existing colleague policies and procedures in the business, constantly ensuring alignment with the business’s values and the external legislations.

Requirements:
Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 5+ years experience as an HR generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager or equivalent
Preferred Experience: (but not required): Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
