Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain Capabilities and Strategic Programs you are responsible for overseeing and enhancing the supply chain operations within Transportation, Warehousing, and Customer Service. The primary focus of this position is to develop and implement strategies that optimize the efficiency, effectiveness, and agility of the supply chain, enabling the organization to meet its business goals. . As the Director of Supply Chain Capabilities, you will play a critical role in transforming and optimizing the organization’s supply chain operations, enabling it to stay competitive and deliver superior value to customers.
You Will:
Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with our overall objectives. Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the supply chain processes, systems, and technologies.
Identify and implement best practices to streamline supply chain operations in the areas of Transportation, Warehousing, and Customer Service. Continuously monitor and assess performance metrics to drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Identify areas of inefficiency or bottlenecks in the supply chain and lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce lead times, and enhance overall supply chain responsiveness. Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to drive operational excellence.
Foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, logistics providers, and cross-functional teams. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve issues, and ensure smooth coordination across the supply chain network.
Evaluate, select, and implement advanced supply chain technologies, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS). Examples include Blue Yonder, SAP, and Oracle Transportation Management. Drive system integration initiatives to enhance visibility, automation, and data analytics capabilities.
Build and lead a high-performing supply chain capabilities team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance individual and team capabilities. Build a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions, regulatory compliance, and geopolitical factors. Develop and implement robust contingency plans to ensure business continuity and minimize potential disruptions.
Drive initiatives to promote sustainability and responsible supply chain practices.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.
8+ years in supply chain management, with a focus on strategy development, process improvement, and technology implementation.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and inspire cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence and delivering measurable results.
Proficiency in supply chain software applications and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and data analytics tools.
Interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Familiarity with project methodologies including Agile.
